Welding

All our welding personnel hold current ECITB Safety Passports and a number of staff also hold the CSCS Construction Skills Certification Scheme Cards for on site welding.

The welders all hold a number of welder codings in Carbon Steel, Stainless Steel, Aluminium these qualifications are to our own third party approved procedures.

The main welding processes we use are Stick / GSAW, TIG / TAG, MIG / MAG, and we have a number of modern welding machines in our workshops to carry out the various procedures.

Flavells also carry mobile welding plant - a variety of Diesel driven welder / generators for site applications and a number of machines that can be transported to site if mains power is available. Our site work is primarily in the North East of England but we regularly work from the Scottish Borders with recent contracts in Dumfries, Stirling, Newcastle, Carlisle, Leeds, Halifax, and Wakefield. We also are involved in projects in Cambridge and Bristol and have just completed some work at the new Kings Cross Station. All electrical site equipment is 110 volt and carries a current PAT test.

We carry out site specific Risk Assessments and Method Statements and submit them for approval before attending site and also use generic health and safety documentation for the work we carry out on our premises unless it is something that may require a specific review.

Our QA ensures that the work is done correctly and on time and we strive to give customer satisfaction and hope the company will benefit with repeat orders and future work.
